Specs That Matter When Flipping PCs
If you buy used gaming PCs to resell in Ontario, these are the specs that actually move the sale price and the ones that barely matter.
GPU first, always
Resale price tracks the graphics card more than anything else. An RTX 4060 Ti or 5070 complete PC is easier to sell than a vague "gaming PC" with an old GTX. Confirm the exact model and VRAM before you buy to flip.
CPU and RAM that buyers notice
Modern six-core and eight-core CPUs with 32GB RAM photograph and list cleanly. 8GB RAM or a very old dual-core kills interest even with a decent GPU. DDR5 helps on newer Intel platforms, but 32GB DDR4 is still fine on strong AM4 gaming builds.
Storage and PSU are trust signals
NVMe SSDs sell. HDD-only builds need a discount. A known-good 650W+ PSU reduces buyer fear. Weak power supplies create returns and bad reviews. Use our PSU guide when you evaluate a flip candidate.
What barely moves the needle
RGB quantity, fancy case windows, and brand-name marketing stickers matter less than honest photos and a working demo. Buyers pay for FPS and reliability. Selling your own system instead of flipping? Read how to sell a gaming PC in Ontario or start a free estimate.
