Local Delivery & Pickup vs Shipping a Gaming PC
Big towers, glass panels, and heavy GPUs do not like courier drops. We built our process around Ontario meetups and delivery so you see what you are buying.
What breaks in transit
GPUs (graphics cards) can unseat (work loose) from PCIe slots (the long motherboard slots they plug into); glass side panels crack; heatsinks shift. Insurance helps with money but not with lost time and stress. For high-value PCs, we would rather bring the machine to you or meet with a clear inspection window.
What good handoff looks like
- Power on at pickup; quick thermal check if practical.
- Photos or notes of cosmetic condition agreed by both sides.
- Clear payment timing and contact method, no last-minute app switches.
If you must ship
Use a double box, a GPU support bracket (a brace that holds the graphics card steady) or remove the card and pack separately, bubble wrap with crush space, and buy insurance with documented serials. Expect higher hassle than local.
